Windshield Chip Repair

Small chips and cracks can often be repaired without replacing the entire windshield. We inject resin into the impact point to stop the damage from spreading.

Custom glass installation for vintage automobile restoration
Classic Car Glass

We install glass for classic and vintage vehicles. If the original glass is still manufactured, we’ll source it. If it’s been discontinued, you’ll need to source the glass yourself and we’ll handle the installation.

What You Need To Know About Chip Repair

Repair does not make the chip disappear — it fills the impact to prevent spreading

If the crack is larger than a nickel, it likely cannot be repaired

If lines are already spreading from the impact point, repair may not stop them

We’ll assess the damage and give you an honest recommendation

Chip Repair Pricing

Standard vehicles: $75 - $25 for each additional chip on same vehicle

Camper/motorhome: $125 first chip, $75 each additional

We do not do full glass replacement on campers or motorhomes — chip repair only

Before You Call

Having this information ready will help us give you an accurate quote faster

What We Need From You

Your VIN number (found on your dashboard, driver’s side), OR

Your tag/license plate number, OR

At minimum: year, make, and model of your vehicle

The VIN and license plate number are the fastest way for us to identify the exact windshield your vehicle needs. Year, make, and model work too, but some vehicles have multiple windshield options based on trim level and features.

Prepare for Your Auto Glass Appointment

Have your vehicle information ready and understand how chip repair works.

Camera Recalibration (ADAS)

If your vehicle has a front-facing camera mounted to the windshield — for features like lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, rain-sensing wipers, or adaptive cruise control — it will need to be recalibrated after a windshield replacement.

How Recalibration Works

A third-party technician performs the recalibration at our shop after we install your new windshield

Recalibration typically costs around $300, separate from the windshield replacement cost

This is not something One Cut Glass controls — it’s a manufacturer requirement handled by a certified calibration technician

You can decline recalibration, but we require a signed waiver acknowledging the safety risks

How Do I Know If My Vehicle Needs Recalibration?

If you see a small camera mounted behind your rearview mirror area, your vehicle likely has ADAS features that require recalibration. When in doubt, give us your VIN and we’ll let you know.

Insurance & Payment

We Work With All Insurance Companies

If your insurance company tries to send you to Safelite or another provider, you have the right to choose your own shop. Tell your adjuster you want One Cut Glass to do the work, and they’ll send us the claim information.

Get a Clear Timeline Before You Schedule

About 75% of our windshield replacements are completed next day or within two days. Some windshields take longer — anywhere from a few days to two weeks — depending on the glass availability for your specific vehicle.
